As the sun rises high in the sky, my room is still as dark as ink. The alarm starts to scream in my ear. With a swift motion, I turn off the alarm and jump out of bed, eager to embrace the day.
I draw the curtains and feel the warm sun, but then I notice something is wrong. "Where's my shadow?" I look around fast, but I can't find it anywhere. I start to panic, "I lose my shadow!"
I rush to find my mom for help. She is in the living room watering flowers. "Mom! I lose my shadow! Can you see it?" I ask her anxiously. She smiles gently and points behind me. "It's right there," she says. I turn around but don't see it. I am so confused. "But why can't I see it?" I ask. My mom explains, "Your shadow moves with you. When you turn your whole body, you won't see it. Just turn your head, and you'll find it." I listen to her and turn my head slowly. There it is - my shadow! I am so happy to find it again!

I changed a lot! Before I had short hair, two big eyes and ears. But now, I have long hair. And I am much taller than before. I’m 160cm. Haha, I’m as tall as my mother. I used to watch TV a lot, but now I do homework a lot.
I was lazy before and I didn't like doing housework. But now I am a hard-working person and I often help my mother do some housework, such as cleaning the room, washing the clothes, making the bed and so on. I think doing the housework can help me grow up.
