Recently, AirAsia announced that starting from August 1st, it will launch two new routes between Ningbo and Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu (Sabah); these routes will be operated by AirAsia Malaysia. With this addition, Kuala Lumpur will become one of the major Asian cities served by Ningbo Airport, joining the list alongside the newly launched Ho Chi Minh City route in Vietnam.
近日，亚洲航空宣布，将从8月1日起，先后开通宁波往返马来西亚吉隆坡、亚庇（沙巴）2条全新航线，由马来西亚亚航运营。马来西亚首都吉隆坡也成为继越南胡志明市后，今年宁波机场开通的又一条亚洲主要城市航线。
Since December 1st last year, Malaysia has implemented a visa-free policy for Chinese citizens, on top of which travelers will be able to enter Malaysia with just a passport departing from Ningbo. Relevant authorities have stated that the new routes will take advantage of the visa-free policy to promote tourism and business exchanges between China and Malaysia.
从去年12月1日起，马来西亚对中国公民实施免签政策，宁波旅客购买机票后，只要一本护照就能入境马来西亚。相关人士表示，新航线将会利用免签政策，促进中国与马来西亚之间的旅游和商务交流。
Ningbo Airport has also introduced a direct flight to Phuket (Thailand) starting from July 4th. In a recent announcement from Cathay Pacific, this Hong Kong-based airline will resume the Ningbo-Hong Kong route from August 1st after a hiatus of four and a half years.

The Budapest route is currently the only intercontinental passenger route at Ningbo Airport and is the longest international route, covering 8,457 kilometers and usually taking over 11 hours to fly. Since its official launch over a year ago, it has operated over 100 flights, contributing a convenient route to the “Air Silk Road” that links China and Europe.

The Jeju Island route is the shortest international route at Ningbo Airport, with a total distance of 629 kilometers and a flight time of less than 1.5 hours. By high-speed rail, this time can only get you from Ningbo to its northern neighbor Jiaxing.
