On May 23rd, the 8th meeting of the China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) Business Council took place in Ningbo, east Zhejiang of China. Sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) under the theme “Collaborative Development, Cooperative Future,” this major event marked a highlight of the 2024 China (Ningbo)-CEEC Exchange Week.
5月23日，中国—中东欧国家联合商会第八次会议在宁波举办。本次会议由中国贸促会主办，以“协同共发展 合作创未来”为主题，是2024中国（宁波）—中东欧国家交流周期间的一项重磅活动。
2024 commemorates the 10th anniversary of the China-CEEC Business Council. As a vital component of the comprehensive partnership framework between China and CEEC, the council consolidates extensive business resources and acts as a conduit for economic and trade exchanges.
今年是中国—中东欧国家联合商会成立10周年。作为中国—中东欧国家立体合作架构的重要组成部分，中国—中东欧国家联合商会聚合庞大的企业资源，发挥桥梁纽带作用，为中国与中东欧各国工商界人士搭建经贸交流的平台。
Ningbo has hosted the council’s meetings for three consecutive years. This world-leading port city along the East China Sea is becoming the prime gateway for CEEC products to the Chinese market and a hub for bilateral investment and cultural exchanges.
地处东海之滨的宁波，已连续3年成为中国—中东欧国家联合商会的举办地，正逐步成为中东欧商品进入中国市场、中国与中东欧国家双向投资合作和人文交流的首选之地。
Last year, Ningbo’s trade volume with CEEC reached 7.17 billion USD at a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, accounting for over 6.3% of China's total trade with the region. Furthermore, the cumulative investment of Ningbo in CEEC has surpassed 1 billion USD, with their deep industrial integration in automotive parts, high-end equipment, and biomedicine.
去年，宁波与中东欧国家实现进出口贸易额71.7亿美元，同比增长6.1%，占全国比重超过6.3%。宁波对中东欧国家累计投资金额超过10亿美元，在汽车零部件、高端装备、生物医药等领域，与中东欧国家实现产业链深度融合。
At the meeting, representatives from government departments of China and CEEC, CEEC embassies in China, and Chinese members of the business council shared their expectations and prospects for China-CEEC cooperation.
现场，中国与中东欧国家的政府部门代表、中东欧驻华使节、联合商会中方理事会成员单位代表，纷纷表达对中国—中东欧国家合作的期待和展望。
“This meeting symbolizes the robust and ever-evolving partnership between China and CEEC. We hope the two sides will continue to advance together, fostering more trade and investment cooperation,” stated Sinisa Berjan, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China.
“这次会议，象征着中国与中东欧国家牢固而不断发展的伙伴关系。希望中国与中东欧国家继续携手共进，促成更多的贸易、投资合作。”波斯尼亚和黑塞哥维那驻华大使西尼沙·贝尔扬表示。
“In recent years, China and North Macedonia have forged a strong partnership. North Macedonia is eager to join hands with China to navigate the complex global economic currents and chart a blueprint for successful international trade cooperation,” remarked Olivera Nasev, Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to China.
“近年来，中国和北马其顿建立了强有力的伙伴关系，北马其顿愿同中国携手应对全球经济的复杂潮流，为成功的国际经贸合作绘制蓝图。”北马其顿共和国驻华大使纳塞夫表示。
“The Romanian business community highly values the Chinese market and actively participates in various economic and trade activities. In the future, we will continue to build platforms to elevate cooperation and exchange to new heights,” said Mihai Andritsoiu, Executive Chairman of the Romania-China International Trade and Economic Promotion Association.
“罗马尼亚工商界非常看重中国市场，积极参与各类经贸活动。未来，我们将继续为双方搭建平台，推进合作交流迈上新台阶。”罗马尼亚—中国国际贸易和经济促进会执行主席米海·安德里佐尤表示。
“The development needs of China and CEEC are highly compatible, and the prospects for our industrial cooperation are vast. Moving forward, TCL will continue to play a leading role in the China-CEEC Business Council, injecting new momentum into the cooperative relations between China and CEEC,” articulated Wang Cheng, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of TCL Technology Group Corporation.
“中国和中东欧国家发展需求高度契合，产业合作前景广阔。未来，TCL将继续在中国—中东欧国家联合商会中发挥带头作用，为中国与中东欧国家的合作关系注入新动力。”TCL科技集团股份有限公司首席运营官王成表示。
Currently, the China-CEEC Business Council comprises CCPIT and 17 organizations (i.e., business associations and trade & investment promotion institutions) from 12 CEEC countries.
目前，中国—中东欧国家联合商会共有中国贸促会和17家中东欧国家商协会及贸易投资促进机构（涵盖12个中东欧国家）成员单位。
“At this new historical juncture, CCPIT is committed to collaborating with all the council members and enabling an increasing number of high-quality CEEC products to enter China through leveraging platforms like the CEEC Products Permanent Pavilion. We aim to expand investment cooperation in emerging fields such as new energy, digital economy, e-commerce, fintech, and smart cities, thereby enlarging the ‘cake’ of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes,” said Chen Jian’an, Vice Chairman of CCPIT and Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce.
“在新的历史起点上，中国贸促会愿与中国—中东欧国家联合商会各成员单位携手，用好中东欧特色商品常年馆等平台，让越来越多中东欧优质产品进入中国；拓展新能源、数字经济、电子商务、金融科技、智慧城市等新兴领域投资合作，把互利共赢的‘蛋糕’越做越大。”中国贸促会副会长、中国国际商会副会长陈建安在致辞中表示。
Wang Jinsong, Level-II Counsel of the European Department of the Ministry of Commerce, finally concluded, “Chinese and CEEC business associations (like China-CEEC Business Council) are indispensable in promoting China-CEEC cooperation. The Ministry of Commerce of China will deliver concerted efforts to explore new trade areas of growth, continuously facilitate investment cooperation and boost connectivity so as to pursue incredible cooperative achievements in all respects.”
